Fundraising

About the Fundraising Committee:
This committee was formed to gather funds to operate the community center.  The collection of funds fall under three categories:

"Reach for the Rainbow Campaign" Building Fund.  The UTSCC board has set $200,000 as the target goal to cover the costs of acquiring the property at 514 East Washington Boulevard, renovating the building and meeting unanticipated costs.  Pledges are requested to meet these costs and can be offered in bulk or in monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual payments.  Suggested amounts:  $5000, $1000, $500, $250, $100...whatever can be comfortably donated.  The center has 501(c)3 non-profit status, useful for those interested in offering tax-deductible contributions.  Checks and money orders can be written to "UTSCC." We also accept Visa and Mastercard for credit card users.

Targeted donations.  Several UTSCC-sponsored groups are independently funded and donations can be specified for use by the Community AIDS Action Team, the Horizons Youth Group, Committee, the Rainbow Reader and the UTSCC Archives and Resource Library.  Or donations can be submitted to the "UTSCC general operating fund" to help keep the building open and accessible for these and other activities.  All activities share the community center's 501(c)3 status for accepting tax-deductible contributions.  Checks for the center and its sponsored groups should be made out to "UTSCC."

Special fundraising projects.  Funds are being collected for the ongoing operation of the center. Cash, checks, money orders, Visa and/or Mastercard are accepted.
